lifestyle of an army family, as her father, Colonel Bhuwanesh Thapa, served in
the Indian Army. Despite the frequent relocations, Nikhita's passion for music
bloomed at a tender age.
Her schooling commenced in Kurseong, where she displayed
academic brilliance alongside her musical inclinations. Nikhita's journey in
music began at the age of 3 ½ when she delivered her first stage performance, a
rendition of a nursery rhyme, at her school's annual function. The influence of
her father's musical prowess and her mother's resilience laid the foundation
for Nikhita's artistic pursuits.
Driven by her passion, Nikhita pursued formal vocal training
under the guidance of renowned musicians. She commenced her musical education
in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, under the tutelage of Pt. Johri. However, her
family's relocation to Mumbai provided her with a conducive environment to
nurture both her musical and academic endeavors. In Mumbai, she continued her
vocal training under the mentorship of Mrs. Bhavna Dixit and Pt. Dhruba Ghosh,
while also graduating with distinction in commerce from H.R. College of
Commerce and Economics.

Nikhita's foray into the Nepalese music industry was
serendipitous. During a visit to her relatives in Kathmandu, Nepal, she
encountered Music Composer Rajan Ishan, who offered her the opportunity to lend
her voice to the female vocals of the song 'Jatichan' for the movie '3 Lovers,'
with lyrics penned by Kishor Thapa. This collaboration marked the inception of
her journey in Nepali music.
Impressed by Nikhita's talent and dedication, lyricist
Dinesh Adhikari encouraged her to pursue a solo album. After relentless effort
and dedication from the entire team, Nikhita's debut album "NIKHITA"
came to fruition. Released in 2014, the album featured seven soulful tracks,
